My free session is gone but I didn't finish it
If your session ended unexpectedly — call drop, background app refresh, phone locked mid-session — email us at hi@ventmodeapp.com and we'll sort it out. Include your Apple ID email and roughly when it happened.
I made a purchase but my sessions aren't showing up
Tap the Restore Purchases button on the paywall screen. If that doesn't work, close the app fully and reopen it. Still nothing — email us with your Apple ID and the order number from your Apple receipt.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Vent Mode purchase, and submit a refund request. Apple typically responds within a few days.
The app isn't recognizing my microphone
Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Vent Mode and make sure it's turned on. If it's already on, try toggling it off and back on, then restart the app.
The AI isn't responding during my session
Sessions require an internet connection. Check your connection and try again. If the problem keeps happening, close the app fully and reopen it. Still not working — email us and include your device model and iOS version.
How do I delete my account or my data?
Email hi@ventmodeapp.com with the subject "Delete my data" and we'll remove everything associated with your account within 30 days. Session audio is never stored, so there's nothing to delete there.
Will the AI remember what I said in past sessions?
No. Each session is completely independent. The AI doesn't store what you said, doesn't carry anything between sessions, and has no memory of previous interactions. Once the session ends, it's gone.
Troubleshooting steps
Check your internet connection. Sessions require a live connection to run. Wi-Fi or cellular both work.
Force-close and reopen the app. Swipe up from the home bar, swipe Vent Mode away, and reopen it.
Check microphone permissions. iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Vent Mode must be on.
Restore purchases. If sessions you paid for aren't showing, use the Restore Purchases button on the paywall screen.
Update the app. Make sure you're on the latest version — open the App Store, go to your profile, and check for updates.
